WELCOME to my little corner of the World. Come in, rest a while, and allow God to speak to you, Spirit to spirit with wonderful inspirational poetry. Allow Him to encourage, inspire, and bring comfort and joy to your heart, through His abiding peace. May you find a true meeting of minds and spirits, as God's Holy Word is creatively expressed from the hearts of many of His cherished and creatively gifted children from around the World. My
name is Sylvia Lavallée. I was born
in Belfast, Northern Ireland (my Mother is Irish
my Father is English). When I was 3 years
old, my family moved to the Island and Royal Manor
of Portland (AKA: "Jurassic Island") in
Dorsetshire, on the south-west coast of England.
This Island is a rare jewel in the Crown of
England and is a fascinating place to
explore. At
the age of 17, I left the Island to join the
Woman's Royal Air Force, and have virtually been,
"on-tour" ever since, having lived in many parts
of the U.K., as well as in Asia and
Canada. I am proud to be the holder of Dual
Citizenship for both Canada and England. In
2007, after living in Canada for 30 years
with my husband Jacques (a Canadian Navy Officer)
we made the big move back, "Across the pond" to
live in England again, to become official,
"Carers" of my aging and disabled parents.
This was a huge endeavour to undertake, but we
always knew that God had called us to do it, and
He continues to honour our commitment to that call
by richly blessing us in every possible way.
We are born-again Christians, and Spirit-filled
disciples of Jesus Christ, who is our Lord and
Saviour. My
husband Jacques is the Co-Pastor of our local
church, "Fellowship On The Rock", where we
are both fully committed to ministering in
whatever way the Lord leads us. We live to give
worship, praise, honour and glory to God for His
great and mighty, all powerful, gift of
Salvation. Our deepest desire is to mature
in our Holy faith, so that we might be able to
help other true God seekers find, "The Way, The
Truth and The Life, through our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. CLICK ON THE
CROSS FOR GOD'S GREAT PLAN OF SALVATION My many interests include quilting, oil-painting, sewing, reading Christian books, and listening to and playing, worship music. I am the percussionist with our Worship Team at, "Fellowship On The Rock" in Portland, Dorset, England (Djembe, chimes, shakers, various, "Noise makers"). Also, I am teaching myself to read music and play the Keyboard, which I enjoy immensely. Poetry though, remains one of the sweetest gifts God has ever given to me, and is a true source of joy, and a wealth of great delight. I find the greatest pleasure in both writing and reading Christian poetry, as it always leads me to the source of all wisdom and truth, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Christian poetry, as inspired by God's Holy Word, fills me with a deep and abiding assurance, that God truly is my Heavenly Father, and I am His precious, dearly beloved, child. I know I am His Princess (for my name Sylvia means, "God's Princess"). Christian
Poets Corner is dedicated to my Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. Here I have gathered a large
volume of excellent poetry from Christian poets
around the World. My hope is that through
poetry, many good seeds will be planted into the
longing hearts of all who desire to more fully
experience God's love. My prayer is that, we
Christian poets, may be counted amongst the most
brilliant lights shining, in the ever increasing
darkness of this present World. My hope and
prayer is that the poetry on the following pages
will bless, inspire, nourish and enrichen your
life, and become a bright shining light of
revelation to your spirit. May all of these
wonderfully insightful, poetic inspirations and
expressions, bring you a great measure of comfort
and encouragement, and may they fill your hearts
and spirits with the amazing love, joy and peace
of God, to whom all glory and honour is
given...for He alone is worthy to be praised, for
all eternity.
